Israeli drone strike kills seven in West Bank

An Israeli drone strike in the village of Tamun, in the occupied West Bank, killed at least seven people on Wednesday, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. The Palestinian health ministry reported eight fatalities.

The Israeli military said the attack targeted an “armed terrorist cell” as part of a counterterrorism operation, coordinated with the security agency ISA.

Violence in the West Bank has escalated since the Israel-Gaza war began on October 7, 2023. According to the Palestinian health ministry, at least 870 Palestinians have been killed in the territory, while Israeli authorities report 29 Israeli deaths from attacks or military raids.
