Malaysia has launched the 22nd edition of the Malaysia International Halal Products Exhibition (MIHAS 2026), bringing together around 1,700 companies to showcase halal products and services, with organizers expecting about 50,000 visitors and business transactions worth approximately $1.23 billion.
The exhibition, hosted by Malaysia’s Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry and organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), is being held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Participants are presenting products and services through nearly 2,000 exhibition booths, representing around 14 sectors of the halal economy, including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, modest fashion, logistics, Islamic finance, technology, and Muslim-friendly tourism.
MIHAS serves as a global platform connecting halal industry companies, buyers, and investors from various countries, aiming to expand trade cooperation and create new market opportunities.
This year’s edition also introduced an artificial intelligence-powered system designed to help exhibitors and visitors connect with potential business partners, locate companies and booths, and arrange meetings more efficiently.
The exhibition is part of Malaysia’s broader efforts to strengthen its role in the global halal economy and promote international trade and investment in halal-compliant products and services.
