Canada: Shia Muslims commemorate Ashura, chanting ‘Labbaika Ya Hussein’

 For the first time, the Ashura procession took place in Ottawa, Canada amid a rainy weather.

One of the organizers of the mourning procession told Shia Waves News Agency, “Praise be to God, about 400 Shia followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, residing in the city of Ottawa, from Iranian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Afghani and Pakistani background, participated in this Ashura mourning procession based on the slogan (Hussein: Axis of Unity).”

Photos sent by the procession organizer to ‘Shia Waves News Agency’ show mourners participating in the Ashura procession ceremonies carrying umbrellas due to the rainy weather, and chanting “Labbaika Ya Hussein”.
