Shia Muslims commemorate sorrowful martyrdom anniversary of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra
The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf has been covered in black in commemoration of the sorrowful martyrdom anniversary of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, according to the forty-day narration.
Shia Waves correspondent in Holy Najaf said that “the Secretariat-General of the holy shrine has placed back banners of sadness and sorrow over the walls and prepared special mourning programs to commemorate this tragedy for three days.”
He added that “the Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, from various Iraqi provinces and other countries will arrive in the holy city to offer their condolences on this sorrowful occasion.”
It should be mentioned that Shias are committed to commemorating the painful martyrdom anniversaries of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to reveal the oppression and injustice they suffered.
