Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation holds regular session to discuss Holy Arba’een Project
The Holy Karbala-based Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, one of the centers affiliated to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, has reaffirmed its endeavors to put the special study for its ‘Holy Karbala: 50 Million Pilgrims during Arba’een Pilgrimage in 2030’.
The public relations official, Hussein Al-Adli, said in a statement to Shia Waves Agency that “After ten months of researching and elaborate discussions, the Foundation held a meeting on its national project of the Holy Arba’een; amid the presence of the Foundation’s president and members.”
Al-Adli explained that “The number of pilgrims and processions of this year’s Holy Arba’een will be included in the study.”
Eng. Basim Abbas, the project’s committee chief, said that “We expected a huge rise in the number of pilgrims this year, and this is what happened,” adding that “We expect the number of pilgrims in 2030 to increase beyond 50 million pilgrims.”
Dr. Raed Ameen, a member of the Arba’een Project committee, said that “Several issues were discussed during the meeting such as: the provision of service, transportation, housing and other important services as we also discussed the difficulties and obstacles the honorable pilgrims faced during previous years.”
