Shia Muslims in Kandahar Hold Fatimiyyah Mourning Ceremonies Commemorating Lady Fatima al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her)
——————————————
Shia Muslims and devotees of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Kandahar, southern Afghanistan, held mourning ceremonies at Fatimiyyah Mosque to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), as part of the first Fatimiyyah days.
The gatherings brought together members of the Shia community to remember the suffering and distinguished status of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in Islamic history. Religious speakers addressed the attendees, who gathered to mark the solemn occasion and express their devotion to the daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).
The ceremonies form part of the annual religious observances held by Shia Muslims across Afghanistan during the Fatimiyyah days. Such gatherings also provide an opportunity to strengthen religious and social ties within the community, preserve Fatimiyyah traditions and pass their teachings and values on to younger generations.
