Michigan-based Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq Center holds celebrations on Greatest Eid-ul-Ghadir
The Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq Center in Detroit, Michigan has celebrated the Greatest Eid-ul-Ghadir, the event when the Holy Prophet, appointed Imam Ali, peace be upon them, as his caliph and successor.
The Center’s administration said in a statement that, “Large numbers of the followers of AhlulBayet, peace be upon them, attended the celebrations to renew their pledge of allegiance to Imam Ali, peace be upon him.”
They added that, “The blessed activities began with Quran recitation delivered by the reciters, Mahmood Al-Amiree and Mulla Abdullah Al-Sa’edi.”
The administration continued, “Poets also attended the celebrations and delivered poems in honor of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
They concluded that, “Sheikh Jafar Al-Haeri delivered a lecture in which he spoke about the significance of Eid-ul-Ghadir, then other joyful activities were carried out.”
It should be mentioned that Imam Al-Sadiq Center is one of the Shia active centers and is is under the auspices of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi.
