Pakistan International Airlines launch “Special Ashura Flights” initiative

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced the provision of special flights to the holy city of Najaf, Pakistan Observer newspaper reported, confirming that this decision was taken to accommodate the increasing number of Pakistani citizens willing to visit the holy shrines in Iraq.

PIA began operations with a scheduled flight to Holy Najaf on July 7, followed by another on July 11, and return flights for Pakistani pilgrims on July 20, 21, and 25 of the same month.

The newspaper added that PIA has named these flights “Special Ashura Flights,” recently prepared to accommodate the large number of visitors during the annual religious gatherings.
