Military Operations Command of Holy Karbala holds security conference ahead of Muharram

The Military Operations Command of the Holy City of Karbala held a security conference on Saturday to distribute security plan tasks for the coming holy month of Muharram.

The Shia Waves correspondent attented the conference and reported that “the conference was held at the headquarters of the Operations Command and was attended by its commander Lieutenant General Ali al-Hashimi, and the provincial police chief, Major General Ahmed Zweini.”

He added that “the security leaders discussed security plans and coordination efforts with the holy shrines and other concerned departments.”

The Holy City of Karbala recieves large numbers of pilgrims from Iraq and other countries who come to mark the first ten days of the holy month of Muharram until the tenth day of the month which marks the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, his family members and faithful companions.
