Shia Muslims commemorate martyrdom of Imam Ali and Laylatul Qadr in Holy Najaf

The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf hosted yesterday, Sunday, massive numbers of mourners who commemorate the day on which the Imam was struck on his honorable head by the most wicked man, Abdul Rahman bin Muljim.

The loyal pilgrims also revived Laylatul Qadr (Night of Determination) amid a spiritual and faithful atmosphere.

They read Daus and performed Ziyara of the Imam and raised copies of the Noble Qur’an over their heads, praying to Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy and forgiveness upon all Muslims.

It should be mentioned that the employees and servants at Imam Ali Holy Shrine have prepared the courtyards for the pilgrims to gather to perform their ritual and worship activities.
