Husseiniyat Ale Yassin revives Muharram 1444
Thousands of mourners are mourning the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the Husseiniyah of Ale Yassin, one of the centers affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, in Sydney, Australia.
Sheikh Ali Abu Rayhan, director of the Husseiniyah in Sydney, told Shia Waves News Agency, “The Husseiniyah of Ale Yassin has been raising the Husseini banner in Sydney’s Sefton area for more than 14 years.”
The 1,250-square-meter Husseiniyah hosts thousands of mourners from all over Sydney each year.
Sheikh Abu Rayhan added, “The mourning ceremonies are held at Al-Yassin Center in Persian, Arabic and English.
The English speakers are Sayyed Redha al-Mousawi and Sheikh Ali Ameli, and the Arabic speaker is Sayyed Hussein al-Modaressi.
The mourning ceremonies at Husseiniyat Ale Yassin are held daily at 13:00 Karbala time and 20:00 Sydney time, and are aired live on Imam Hussein 2 TV. The English lecture is also aired live on Imam Hussein 3 TV.
