Shias worldwide mourn the night of attack on Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and revive the Night of Destiny
Last night, lovers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, attended mosques, Husseiniyahs and centers to revive the 19th night of the month of Ramadan, or the Night of Destiny, which coincides with the night of attack on the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.
A mourning ceremony was held at the house of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Shirazi, with the presence of crowds of mourners, seminary students and cultural and religious figures.
Sheikh Alemi delivered a lecture in which he spoke about the blessed biography of the Imam, peace be upon him, and the oppression he faced, as he ended by supplicating to the Almighty to hasten the reappearance of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him.
It is worth mentioning that the mourning ceremony at the house of the Supreme Religious Authority will continue for five nights, until the 22nd of the month of Ramadan.
