The Japanese ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Fumio Iwai, revealed the reasons for his recitation and knowledge of the Holy Quran.
Speaking to the “Ya Hala” program, Fumio Iwai said: “After studying the Arabic language for such a long period, and after my work in the Arab world, I tried to read the Holy Qur’an because the Islamic religion is a very important basis for the lives of people in this world.”
He explained that he had memorized a surah from the Noble Qur’an, including Surat Al-Fatihah, and when the program presenter asked him to read it, the ambassador did.
He considered that “reciting the Qur’an is like rhythm for him, and through it he can learn more about the Arabic language in an eloquent way.”
