Explosion in Afghanistan kills 8 people and destroys 14 homes

At least 8 people were killed and 47 others wounded in a car bomb explosion in Herat Province, in western Afghanistan.
Government officials expected that the death toll from the explosion that destroyed 14 homes would rise as a number of the wounded are in critical condition, according to the state hospital spokesperson Rafik Shirazai.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Tariq Aryan, said that one of the dead and 11 of the wounded were members of the Afghan security forces, while the rest were civilians, including women and children.
While no party has claimed responsibility for the attack, the Taliban and ISIS terrorists usually carry out such attacks in the area.
