Semi-official Iraqi sources: Parliament submitted request to the government to reopen borders to foreign pilgrims for Arbaeen
Semi-official sources said that the Iraqi government will issue new instructions regarding the entry of foreign pilgrims to the country before the upcoming massive pilgrimage of Arbaeen, indicating that the decision to close the borders to foreign pilgrims will witness a definite breakthrough a few days before the revival of the blessed pilgrimage.
These sources said in exclusive statements to Shia Waves that “the coming days will witness the issuance of instructions regarding the entry of foreign pilgrims through airports exclusively for those wishing to revive and participate in Arbaeen, on the condition that they bring a medical report proving that they are not infected with the Coronavirus.”
The sources added that “there is a proposal sent by the Iraqi parliament to the government to specify a small number of Iranian pilgrims to enter by land,” noting that “security approvals regarding Arab and foreign pilgrims have reached more than 2000 so far.”
