Lebanese ambassador in Iraq: Number of Lebanese pilgrims to Iraq constantly increasing
The Lebanese ambassador in Iraq Edeeb Alhebhab has recently visited the holy city of Karbala and the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The Lebanese ambassador in Iraq Edeeb Alhebhab has recently visited the holy city of Karbala and the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
During his visit, speaking to media, he expressed his admiration concerning the recent improvements Karbala has achieved.
Elhebhab also said that the number of the Lebanese visitors coming into Iraq is now more than 50.000 each year, in addition to other Lebanese visitors who live abroad. He added that the number is constantly increasing due to the fact that Karbala is a holy city, and the status quo of Iraq is now more secure.
He said further that Imam Hussein Shrine expanded its projects to a huge scale and began to provide more services to the visitors and pilgrims.
He also added that there is a great cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon in terms of trade and tourism, and a Lebanese committee is coming into Iraq soon to activate the agreements previously made between the two countries.
