Bahrainis rally on protester’s death anniversary
Bahrainis have taken to the streets to commemorate the third anniversary of the death of a young man killed by security forces during an anti-regime protest.
The demonstration was held in the village of Abu Saiba, west of the capital, Manama.
The martyred protestor was shot in the chest at close range by security forces in October, 2011, but an official report said the 16-year-old teenager died of a heart failure.
Since mid-February 2011, thousands of protesters have held numerous demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling on the Al Khalifa royal family to relinquish power.
