The prominent Shia noha, or reciter of eulogies, Mullah Farhan Ali Waris escaped an assassination attempt in Karachi.
Farhan was in his car and surrounded by some armed takfiri terrorists of so-called banned Ahl-e-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat (ASWJ) near the Teen Hatti area of the metropolis.
When terrorists were about to open fire on him, his security guard quickly opened his fire on terrorists, forcing them to flee.
Waris, known for his rendition of Nohas on television channels, said he had just got off at his home when the car came under attack by gunmen on a motorcycle.
