A new book examining the life, character and historical role of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), titled Al-Sayyida Zaynab al-Batul: Hafidat al-Rasul, has been published in Beirut by Dar al-Mahajja al-Bayda.

The book was written by Lebanese Christian author and researcher Dr. Michel Salim Kaadi. According to the Janoubia news website, it explores Lady Zaynab’s upbringing in the Holy Prophet’s (peace be upon him and his family) household, her knowledge, family life and social standing.

It also highlights her courage and sacrifice during the events of Karbala, as well as her resistance to the rulers in Kufa and Damascus and her role in preserving the historical memory of the tragedy.

The book features an introduction by Dr. Mohammad Hossein Mahdavi Mehr, titled “I Saw Nothing but Beauty.” The author describes Lady Zaynab as a lasting example of perseverance and dignity for both men and women.
