———————————-
The Ahl al-Bayt Foundation in Istanbul’s Bağcılar district held a Fatimid mourning ceremony to commemorate the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), attended by religious scholars, community figures and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Participants included the foundation’s head, Sheikh Rahmani Onurshan, Dr. Abu Dharr, Sheikh Hassan Atam, and the head of the Bilge Kadın organization.
Speakers highlighted Lady Fatima’s esteemed position in Islam, her spiritual and moral legacy, and the lessons her life offers in upholding faith and Islamic principles. The gathering also featured poetry and elegies recalling her suffering and expressing devotion to the Prophet Muhammad’s family (peace be upon them).
The ceremony formed part of Istanbul’s Fatimid mourning observances, reflecting efforts by Islamic institutions in Turkey to preserve religious traditions and pass the legacy of Lady Fatima al-Zahra on to younger generations.
