Bayt al-Hussein Hussainiya in Melbourne Continues Fatimid Mourning Assemblies in Arabic, English
——————————————-
Bayt al-Hussein Hussainiya, affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi in Melbourne, Australia, has continued to hold mourning assemblies commemorating the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), with the participation of believers and followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The gatherings took place on the evenings of the 10th and 11th of Jumada al-Awwal, 1448 AH, as part of the Hussainiya’s religious program for the Fatimid mourning days. The ceremonies began with congregational Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by Quranic recitation by Abu Ahmad al-Najafi and the recitation of the visitation prayer dedicated to Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Mohammed al-Hourani delivered a religious lecture in English, addressing aspects of the Fatimid occasion, while Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ali al-Razavi gave a lecture in Arabic. Sheikh Haider al-Basri also took to the pulpit as part of the program, which featured several religious speakers.

Holding assemblies in both Arabic and English allows a wider range of Muslims in Australia to participate, particularly younger generations and English-speaking community members. The bilingual format also provides an opportunity to learn more about the life, status and suffering of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
