Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has emphasized the religious and social significance of Eid al-Ghadir, describing it as a manifestation of the great divine trust carried by the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure family, in conveying the message of Allah.

In statements published by his office during the blessed days of Ghadir, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said Eid al-Ghadir represents a decisive moment in the completion of the divine message and the guidance of the Muslim nation.

His Eminence added that Ghadir reminds Muslims that divine guidance was not left uncertain, but was preserved through clear signs and guides placed by Allah within the Ummah to ensure the continuity of the path of truth.

In another statement, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said Eid al-Ghadir also highlights Islam as a complete system for guiding society and organizing human life, not merely a collection of individual rulings or acts of worship.

His Eminence stated that Ghadir carries a clear message about the position of divine leadership in Islamic society, calling Muslims to preserve unity, remain committed to the truth of religion, and follow the path of guidance.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi has repeatedly called for reviving Eid al-Ghadir as “the greatest Eid of Allah” and for introducing its message to people around the world. He stressed that the occasion embodies values such as Wilayah, justice, righteous leadership, social awareness and the unity of the Muslim nation.

Eid al-Ghadir is one of the most important Islamic occasions for followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, who commemorate the Prophet’s declaration of the Wilayah of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, as an extension of divine guidance in the Muslim Ummah.
