Madagascar: Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi organizes Ashura march

Under the guidance of the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, the Shia devotees of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in the city of Marawi in Madagascar, have organized a Husseini procession in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, his family members and his loyal companions.

The director of the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Madagascar, Hujjat-ul-Islam wa-al-Muslimeen Sheikh Mohammad Radi Wasram, said “The Shirazi office organized a Husseini march in Marawi to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”

Wasram pointed out that, “Large crowds of the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, especially the youths, participated in the march, raising placards showing sayings of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”

It should be noted that the Shia Muslims are commemorating the second ten days of the holy month of Muharram until the Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on the 20th of the holy month of Safar.
