Saudi Arabian Airlines has unveiled the “Ihram al-Abrad,” or cooling ihram, as a new generation of clothing for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

This garment uses modern technology to lower body temperature, helping pilgrims perform the rituals in extreme heat with less fatigue and strain.

According to Shia Waves Agency, quoting Al Jazeera, this initiative is part of a broader set of innovations, including technology-enhanced camps in Arafat and the “luggage-free Hajj” service.

This service allows pilgrims to travel without carrying personal baggage, with their luggage delivered to them directly—aimed at creating a smarter, more convenient, and safer Hajj experience while maximizing comfort for the pilgrims.
