The holy city of Karbala is hosting Iraq’s largest Qur’anic and cultural carnival for children, taking place from September 23 to October 2 near the city’s revered shrines.

According to Shia Waves Agency, the event is being held under the slogan “I Read… I Play… I Learn”, offering a mix of storytelling, educational workshops, and interactive competitions designed specifically for children.

Organizers say the carnival aims to foster a love of reading, creativity, and collaboration among children while engaging families in cultural and educational activities.
