Bahraini Political Prisoner’s Health Deteriorates Amid Hunger Strike

Hussein Ali Mahna, a Bahraini political prisoner, has entered his 11th consecutive day of hunger strike in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

According to Reuters, Mahna’s health has worsened significantly, with reports of severe weakness and multiple transfers to the prison clinic for urgent care.

Human rights activists have urged Bahraini authorities to immediately address his medical needs, ensure proper healthcare, and respect the right of political prisoners to peaceful protest.

They have also reiterated calls for the immediate release of Mahna and other political detainees, many of whom are imprisoned solely for their non-violent political positions and peaceful activism.
