Nine terrorists eliminated in separate operations across KP: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces killed nine terrorists linked to India in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Dawn newspaper reported citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations targeted “Indian-sponsored khawarij,” a term used for militants affiliated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Four terrorists were killed in Dera Ismail Khan, two in Tank District, and three in Khyber district’s Bagh area. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the dead militants.
Last week, 12 terrorists linked to Indian proxy groups were killed in KP and Balochistan during similar intelligence-based operations. Since the TTP ended its ceasefire in November 2022, Pakistan has seen a rise in terror activities, especially in KP and Balochistan. Pakistan ranked second in the 2025 Global Terrorism Index, with terrorist attack deaths rising 45% over the past year.
