8th International Nahj al-Balagha Conference in Baghdad highlights youth’s role in shaping future

Baghdad hosted the 8th International Nahj al-Balagha Conference under the theme “Youth and Building the Future in Light of Nahj al-Balagha.” Organized by the Center for Thought, Dialogue, and Reform, the event brought together scholars, academics, and cultural figures from Iraq and abroad.

Participants emphasized the pivotal role of youth in societal advancement, inspired by the teachings of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). The conference explored the intellectual and moral depth of Nahj al-Balagha as a guide for personal and community development.

Sheikh Majid Al-Aqabi, the center’s director, noted the event aimed to promote awareness, peace, and the values of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them. Attendees called for deeper engagement with Imam Ali’s legacy and transforming its principles into practical frameworks for modern challenges.

The conference featured diverse research tackling educational, political, and ethical themes from Nahj al-Balagha, with a focus on empowering youth to build a just and enlightened future.
