The Secretariat-General of Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrine expects over 13 million pilgrims for the commemoration of Imam Musa al-Kadhim’s martyrdom, coinciding with favorable weather and spring holidays.

Saeed al-Hujayyah, Deputy Secretary-General of the shrine, announced extensive preparations, including replacing flags, covering the shrine in black, and raising the Imams’ banner in Basra to mark the pilgrimage.

Pilgrims are arriving daily, including those from Gulf countries, Iran, India, Lebanon, and Pakistan. A committee with various governmental bodies has devised plans to manage traffic and ensure safety during one of Iraq’s largest religious events.
