Boko Haram kills three, abducts dozens in Borno State attack

In a recent Boko Haram assault, three people were killed, and more than a dozen fishermen were abducted in Borno State’s Kukawa Local Government Area, local media reported.

The attack occurred Sunday night in the isolated village of Malamyawri, Cross Kawu ward, near Lake Chad. According to a civilian JTF source, the insurgents arrived around 11:45 p.m., assembled villagers, and killed two fishermen.

A local official voiced concerns over residents’ safety, calling for immediate military support, as the attackers were reportedly seen moving around with weapons but no vehicles.

The attack follows recent Chadian military operations that pushed Boko Haram fighters into Kukawa.
