Grand Ayatollah Shirazi reiterates importance of reviving holy rituals of Imam Hussein, Ahlulbayt

The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, renewed his call to prioritize the revival of sacred Hussaini rituals and to enhance the traditions of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, emphasizing the necessity of guiding the youth and acquainting them with the teachings and legacy of Ahlulbayt.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s statement came during his reception of hundreds of members from the Husseini Procession of the people of Sadda al-Hindiya in Iraq at his honourable residence in Holy Qom, on Sunday morning, corresponding to the 9th of Rabi’ al-Thani, 1446 AH.

The Grand Marja pointed out the significant role these rituals play in nurturing generations and introducing them to the legacy of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them. He also urged attention to the youth and the teaching of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra’s Sermon, considering it a vital document for informing generations about the oppression faced by Ahlulbayt and their monumental role in Islamic history.
