Grand Ayatollah Shirazi advises mourners not to respond to those casting doubts on Hussaini Rituals

The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, advised all believers who commemorate the sacred Husseini rituals around the world not to spend their time responding to the criticisms and negatives issued by the enemies, except to the extent necessary to establish the argument against them.

In a speech delivered on the painful occasion of Holy Ashura, the Grand Marja indicated that not responding to opponents was a method of the Infallible Imams, peace be upon them, pointing out that Imam Ali, peace be upon him, did not respond to what he was subjected to, emphasizing that this approach is the most effective in dealing with negative criticism.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stressed the importance of believers focusing on the positive activities embodied in the sacred Husseini rituals and not getting preoccupied with responding to doubters and opponents more than necessary to establish the argument.

In the speech, his Eminence affirmed that everyone who opposed the rituals of Imam al-Hussain, peace be upon him, will eventually come to an end and disappear just as those before them did, emphasizing that these rituals carry noble messages and humanitarian values that should be the focus of attention, rather than being preoccupied with responding to negative criticisms.
