Australia: Shia community commemorates martyrdom of Imam Ali, blessed Laylat al-Qadr

Shia communities in New South Wales, Australia, have expressed their heartfelt condolences on the painful anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.

The Ahlulbayt Center in the city hosted a large gathering of Shia communities to observe the rituals of the solemn occasion and perform worship ceremonies for the blessed nights of Qadr.

The center said on its website: “Mourning ceremonies were held inside the center and witnessed various activities to recall the tragedies that befell the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.”

The mourners expressed their deep condolences to Imam Mahdi, may Allah Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance, on this occasion, affirming that the remembrance of Imam Ali’s martyrdom is one of the greatest calamities on their hearts.
