Pakistan: Thousands Attend Five Days of Fatimiyya Mourning Gatherings in Karachi
—————————————–
Thousands of mourners gathered at Nishtar Park in Karachi, Pakistan, for five days of mourning ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), recalling her suffering, virtues and legacy.
The gatherings formed part of Fatimiyya commemorations held across Pakistan, bringing together devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to express their devotion and renew their commitment to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and his Household.
During the ceremonies, Sayyid Ali Reza Rizvi delivered religious lectures highlighting Lady Fatima al-Zahra’s distinguished status in Islam, her role in defending Islamic principles, and the patience, faith and steadfastness she demonstrated. He also emphasized the importance of following her example and upholding the moral values she embodied, including piety, worship and standing firm for the truth.
The gatherings reflected the continued efforts of Pakistan’s Shia community to preserve Fatimiyya traditions, promote awareness of Lady Fatima al-Zahra’s life and teachings, and strengthen devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
