The EU Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Thomas Sailor, stated today that the shrines of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, are of great global importance as they embody images of unity and peace among human beings.
The European Union announced on its official Facebook account that its ambassador in Iraq conducted a special visit to the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them.
Sailor, following the blessed visit, said in details followed by Shia News Agency, “The holy shrines of the Prophet’s family hold great significance for us as they embody unity, peace, and flexibility.”
He added, “I had the honor of visiting the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother al-Abbas in the holy city of Karbala. We are very grateful for the opportunity to make this visit and for the warm welcome from the city’s residents and the meaningful discussions.”
The shrines of Imam Hussein and Abbas in the holy city of Karbala witness frequent visits of official and diplomatic figures, as well as ambassadors from around the world, who come to honorably perform the blessed visit and learn about the spiritual significance of these pure shrines for Muslims and others.
