Ongoing violations committed by Peshmerga in TuzKhurmatu of Shia majority

Turkmen Shia majority, has witnessed many violations committed by Peshmerga Kurdish forces

 

Iraqi town of TuzKhurmatu, populated by Turkmen Shia majority, has witnessed many violations committed by Peshmerga Kurdish forces, affiliated to MasoudBarzani; President of Kurdistan region.

Peshmerga forces attacked a Popular Mobilization Unit on a road towards the village of KhidirWali, killing one Shia fighter and injuring three others.

The Kurdish forces also set Shias’ houses and shops on fire and looted their properties, along with attacking Ashura banners.

Following such attacks, fierce clashes erupted between the Popular Mobilization Units and Peshmerga forces.
