Magnitude 6.7, 6.4 earthquakes shake Vanuatu

Two strong earthquakes of magnitude 6.7, and 6.4 struck Vanuatu on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
It said the earthquakes were reported in the Vanuatu region at a depth of around 10 kilometers (6.2 mile).
No reports of damage or casualties have been reported.
Vanuatu is a country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, consisting of a chain of 13 principal and many smaller islands. It is located about 500 miles (800 km) west of Fiji and 1,750 km (1,090 mi) east of northern Australia.
