Groundbreaking device crafted by Iranian doctors detects diseases from iris layer

Iranian engineers and doctors in the Van province of Turkey built an iridology device that can diagnose body diseases by taking and processing pictures from the iris layer of the eye.

According to the Turkish Anatolia news agency, this iridology device or Iriscope is supported by artificial intelligence, and compares the captured images with the images stored in its memory, and reports diseases of the human body to doctors.

Mehrdad Foj Laali, an Iranian mechanical engineer and the representative of the World Federation of Inventors in Turkey, and doctors Roya Hematpour and Behzad Jibashi worked as a team to build this innovative device.

Mehrdad Foj Laali and the doctors won the silver medal at the 2022 Technofest in Samsun with this project, and later won gold medal in the Romanian and Dubai competitions.

“We can quickly detect the lack of vitamins and minerals in the whole body, inflammations, genetic diseases and heart diseases. We did the coding ourselves… It also works in different languages and reports any malfunctions it detects,” said Foj Laali in an interview with Anatolia reporter.
