The Lebanese Muslim Association in Australia hosted a special Ramadan iftar for new Muslims at its community hall adjacent to the Lakemba Mosque in southwest Sydney, aiming to welcome recent converts and strengthen their integration within the Islamic community.

Around 90 people attended the event, including approximately 70 men and women who had recently embraced Islam. The evening focused on fostering spiritual and social connections and building mutual support among participants.

The program featured a Quran recitation by Mohamed Harbi, followed by guidance from Sheikh Jamaluddin Al-Kiki, who spoke about the experiences and challenges new Muslims may face in the early stages of their faith journey.

The evening also highlighted community solidarity distributing gifts, as well as praise for the organizer’s team for supporting initiatives aimed at new Muslims.
