Mourning ceremony in Bangladesh on the anniversary of the demolition of al-Baqi Cemetery
The “Karbala Imambargah” Foundation in the town Mirpur, Bangladesh, organized a mourning ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the demolition of Jannat al-Baqi in Medina.
The Foundation said in a statement through its official Facebook page, that the ceremony included discussions on the crime committed by the Wahhabis one hundred years ago.
The Karbala Imambargah called for the holy cemetery to be rebuilt, as it includes the holy graves of Imams of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
The statement continued that “in the framework of the commemoration of this day, a massive protest was also held on the same day, calling for the reconstruction of al-Baqi.”
