Denmark’s mosques and Husseiniyahs reopen with preventive measures

The Muslim community in the Danish city of Copenhagen has resumed religious activities in mosques and Husseiniyahs while adhering to the preventive measures and social distancing approved by the authorities.

Abdul-Rasoul al-Rubaie, head of Activities Department in Husseiniyat al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, said, “The Imam al-Sadiq Foundation in Copenhagen has resumed receiving believers to revive the Husseini rituals, after the city witnessed the spread of health awareness among citizens and the need to coexist with the virus, alongside following health instructions and preventive measures.” 

He pointed out that the believers and the lovers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, stressed their insistence to revive religious events in Husseiniyahs and mosques whilst following all health and safety regulations. 

“The Danish Ministry of Health imposed various restrictions to limit the spread of the virus among citizens, and in turn citizens committed to those restrictions. Praise be to God, life is returning to normal and we can revive the Husseini rituals in mosques and Husseiniyahs in the city.”
