The World Non-Violence Organization Free Muslim called on Middle Eastern governments to release the detainees, after the spread of coronavirus.

The organization said in a statement, “Given the exceptional circumstances that the world is going through, and the repercussions that resulted from the spread of the new coronavirus pandemic, we call on governments in the Middle East countries to release detainees, especially prisoners of conscience, in order to preserve their safety and avoid the spread of this virus in prisons that are overcrowded.” 

The organization added that the exceptional circumstance experienced by the world is a serious issue since there is no vaccine for it, reinforcing its demand with documents and medical evidence that confirm that the risk of the spread of the aforementioned virus is more effective in gatherings.
