Sudanese authorities have stopped the broadcast of a media production company that broadcasts ten Islamic channels, including the “Tiba” satellite channel, which is headed by the well-known preacher Abd al-Hayy Yusef, who is affiliated with the Salafist movement.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information in Sudan said, “The Minister of Culture and Information, Faisal Muhammad Salih, issued an order stopping the broadcasting of Al-Andalus Media Production and Distribution Ltd., which owns the satellite channels, through which it permits broadcasting more than ten unauthorized channels from Sudanese authorities. “

He explained that the decision was based on the exclusive right of radio and television broadcasting to the Sudanese General Authority for Radio and TV Broadcasting, and based on the constitutional document for the year 2019, that the radio and television broadcasting process is a federal matter.

There was no immediate comment from the channel on the statement of the Ministry.
