The Islamic World Council of Religious Scholars the “Global Imams Council” has condemned the bombing of the Mamadani Hospital in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, leaving hundreds of innocent people dead.

The Council said in its statement, received by Shia Waves Agency, that “It condemns the bombing of the Mamadani Hospital, which resulted in the death of patients and employees.”

It added, “We also condemn the bombing and killing of innocent women and children in a horrific manner,” calling on all human rights organizations to “stand together in the face of this horrible aggression, until stopping the killing of innocent victims.”

The Council called on the parties to the conflict to “exclude powerless civilians—such as women, children and the elderly—from being targeted,” stressing that “this is not in any way heroic or honorable, and it is not accepted by logic or religion.”

The Council also announced its “participation in the sessions that the UN’s Human Rights Council will hold to discuss the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom and dignity”.
