Freemuslim association expressed its serious concerns over the deportation of six Egyptian nationals from Malaysia.
The statement by Freemuslim on this issue comes as follows: “Following the deportation of six Egyptian citizens from Malaysia, Freemuslim association expressed its serious concerns over the threat of torture and execution of these deportees in their own country. These six Egyptian nationals who are considered dissidents of their own governments, should be given safe refuge and asylum under the UN asylum seekers and human rights conventions. The six Egyptians are reportedly former members of Muslim Brotherhood Party, and thus, their deportation could jeopardize their lives.
Therefore, Freemuslim requests the Malaysian government to try these Egyptian nationals for their crimes in their domestic courts, and do not deport them back to their countries.”
