Almost 1,400 children killed in Yemen since March 2015 – UNICEF

Since the escalation of war against Yemen in March 2015, the United Nations has recorded the deaths of almost 1,400 children, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) representative in Yemen MeritxellRelano said on Wednesday.

He added that some 2,000 schools were destroyed, damaged or used for military purposes or as shelters for displaced families.

Since March 2015, the Saudi-led coalition of mostly Gulf countries has been carrying out airstrikes against the people of Yemen.
