World Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo and Cultural Festival to Be Held in Malaysia in August 2025
The World Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo (WITEX), in partnership with the World Cultural & Arts Festival (WCAF), will be held from August 22 to 25, 2025, at Sunway Resort Hotel, Selangor, Malaysia, TTW reported. Organized by the Malaysia Tourism Agency Association (MATA) with support from the World Islamic Tourism Council and others, the event aims to promote Islamic tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.
WITEX 2025 will showcase Halal travel, Islamic finance, modest fashion, and digital travel technologies, attracting government officials, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and cultural professionals. Key highlights include conferences on Muslim travel trends, sustainable tourism, and gender empowerment, as well as a Ministers & CEOs Summit focused on policy and investment.
The World Islamic Tourism Awards will recognize excellence across sectors such as Muslim-friendly destinations and Umrah services. Concurrently, WCAF will celebrate global cultures through performances, exhibitions, and workshops, fostering cross-cultural understanding. The event is supported by major sponsors including Etiqa Takaful and Batik Air.
