Four Army Personnel, 15 Terrorists Killed in KP Operations: ISPR

Four soldiers were killed and 15 terrorists were eliminated in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, Dawn online newspaper reported citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The first operation took place in Dera Ismail Khan’s Hathala area, where nine terrorists, including high-value targets Farman alias Saqib, Kharji Amanullah alias Toori, Kharji Saeed alias Liaqat, and Kharji Bilal, were neutralized. These individuals were involved in numerous terrorist activities and were highly wanted by law enforcement agencies.

The second operation occurred in North Waziristan’s Miranshah area, where six more terrorists were killed. However, during an intense firefight, Lieutenant Muhammad Hassaan Arshaf, 21, from Lahore, along with Naib Subedar Muhammad Bilal, 39, Sepoy Farhat Ullah, 27, and Sepoy Himat Khan, 29, embraced martyrdom.

Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terror activities since the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) broke its ceasefire agreement with the government in 2022.

Sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining terrorists.
