The sixth International Scientific Conference of the “Islam is Life” project commenced on August 30, 2025, in Holy Karbala, under the theme “Combating Corruption: Opportunities and Challenges.” Organized by the College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiya University, the event gathered academic and religious figures from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Iran, and Bahrain.

Dr. Talal Al-Kamali, the conference’s general supervisor, emphasized corruption’s detrimental impact on social, political, economic, and administrative systems, describing it as a threat to institutional stability and human dignity. The conference received 97 submissions, with 74 papers accepted after rigorous evaluation.

The event aims to develop practical recommendations to enhance government institutions and reduce corruption, reflecting the strong emphasis placed by religious authorities on eradicating corruption to promote societal reform and development.
