Iraq: Holy Shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas honors female university graduates

The Secretariat-General of the Holy Shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas launched on Friday the activities of the 8th Central Graduation Ceremony for female university students in the area between the two holy shrines in Holy Karbala, Iraq.

According to the official website of the holy shrine, more than 4,000 female university graduates from Iraq and other Islamic countries participated in this ceremony.

The Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Abual-Fadlal-Abbas, Sayyid Mustafa Murtadha Al-Diyaa Al-Din, stated that “the participating graduates here represent all segments of the Iraqi society, and the icon of the ceremony was the Iraqi palm tree—that towering national symbol, to renew our belonging to Iraq.”

Al-Diyaa Al-Din explained that “the 8th edition of the central graduation ceremony for female university students from Iraq and other Islamic countries witnessed the participation of 170 students from seven Islamic countries: Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, in addition to more than 4,000 students from within Iraq.”
